Lesson Structure
· Everybody's home life is different, however routine is crucial for your child's learning and for their mental health.
· Suggested daily timetable – Parents please note this suggestion may not work for your family and is a suggestion ONLY. If parents are working from home then they may find utilising weekends or afternoons are better for remote learning. Please use the below suggestions as a guide to set up your own schedule that will suit your family and particular circumstances. Please also keep in mind teachers will be running ‘Online classrooms’ at set times which will need to be included in schedules. We recommend that you plan this with your child/ren by working out a daily schedule that can be followed. This is a great life skill.

*Refer to Life skills Matrix on JPPS website or ask your child what they would like to learn or do
Most of all – JPPS teachers will continue to support and care for students and their families as best as they can, they will connect, share, listen to and laugh with the students just as they do every day at school!
· If possible define a physical space for your child’s learning to take place where there are no external distractions.
· Your child will need access to a digital device in order to access the content from their virtual classroom. If you have no way of providing this, please contact the school.
· When connecting online with a teacher, it is recommended that this be done in a place where parents can monitor interaction. There is no need to be involved – just monitor!
· Monitor online behaviours - remind your children to be polite, respectful and appropriate in their communications and to represent the schools values in their interactions with others.
· Include Physical Activity, Exercise and Mindfulness in the daily routine.
· Please email your child’s teacher if your child is sick and cannot ‘check in’ for the day
